Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat Associates, PA (CEENTA), the region’s premier eye, ear, nose and throat care provider for adults and pediatric patients for more than 90 years is looking to add to their Research team. We are currently looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator. The position is full-time located in our South Park office in Charlotte, NC but may travel to our regional offices.

 

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p, occasional weekends. Must travel to all satellite offices as needed.  Changes based on currently enrolling studies.  Also, travel to out of town Investigator meetings a few times per year. Mileage is reimbursed.

Summary of the position:

A healthcare professional responsible for assisting the physician’s investigator with all aspects of conducting a clinical trial by providing medical treatment and medical care services to patients.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the development and execution of clinical research studies and programs
  2. Work under specific instructions to assist with routine tests, experiments, and procedures
  3. Collect, process, and assist in the compilation and verification of research data, samples, and/
  4. or specimens (following strict protocol and detailed instructions)
  5. Enter data from forms and documents into databases, EHR and other documents
  6. Perform literature searches, research, and overall administrative assistance
  7. Assists in the development of interview schedules; contacts potential subjects to introduce and explain study objectives and protocol, and to arrange interviews, either in person or by telephone and the administration of informed consent, and subject scheduling..
  8. Conduct and records face-to-face and/or telephone interviews with subjects, in accordance with predetermined interview protocol, data collection procedures, and documentation standards.
  9. Assists with routine data verification and quality control, ensuring data integrity and consistency with prescribed study protocol.
  10. Performs technical requirements of the study’s protocol such as but not limited to; vital signs, ECG, refraction & BCVA, intraocular pressure, phlebotomy, urine/serum pregnancy testing.
  11. Prepares documentation in the event of a company audit or FDA audit and assist during the audit as needed.
  12. Provide educational and triage information to patient and their families (when appropriate)
  13. Maintain OSHA standards to ensure sterilized and safe environment.
  14. Maintain CEENTA Compliance standards in regards to patient demographics and medical information
  15. Maintain certification through continuing education activities

Job Requirements

Education and/ or Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B.S.) from four-year College or university; or RN license; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience using all Microsoft Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint) preferred. Proficient in use of Internet strongly preferred.

 

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to follow procedures and processes in accordance to CEENTA standards utilizing: (may vary by specialty and/ or physician)

 

Network computer software applications, practice management software and applicable electronic medical record software.
